In memory of the late Jimmy Young, former Bar Convenor and Committee member, the annual Seniors Pairs competition took place on Monday 3rd August 2026. The sun broke through an early rainy morning and the knockouts commenced. The short, five end, no trial, drawn partner format always proves popular.

Jimmy always enjoyed his Tuesday evening domino game with pals and two of them, Andy and Dougie, were keen to win the bowls title.

Andy and Davy just edged a close game in a good humoured, friendly tussle.

The Section looks forward to the Jack Barron Triples in September.
